Our Roots
William A. Brojack founded Brojack Lumber Company during the 1940s, built a sawmill to provide timbers to what was then northeastern Pennsylvania’s thriving coal industry. The business grew to serve the steel, wire and paperboard industries and the homebuilding market. Today, our mill produces hardwood boards for furniture and export in addition to timbers for local uses and is an American Lumber Standards Certified sawmill in accordance with the Northeastern Lumber Manufacturers Association.
Most importantly, we strive to establish and maintain working relationships with our customers by learning their requirements and providing the solutions on which they can rely. At Brojack Lumber, a customer-supplier relationship based on trust is more than a marketing philosophy. It’s a reality.
Where Are We Going Now?
In 1978, Brojack Lumber’s delivery system proved revolutionary by cutting freight costs. Beginning at Kemptville, Ontario and soon moving to Gananoque, Ontario, a partnership we developed with a Canadian dealer accelerated our success. We became a major force in Canada and in the United States. We deliver truckload quantities at costs lower than carload pricing was a wonder to our competitors and the system eventually was copied widely in the industry. Today, it is known as a reload.
Brojack Lumber is the largest single yard lumber distributor in the northeast United States. With an inventory of over 1,000,000 board feet, we’re sure to have what you want.
